Whether you are new in town or new to Jesus, checking out churches can be really hard. Where do I go? What do I do with my kids? What will the music be like? What is the teaching like? What will people be wearing? Will it be weird? Am I wasting a Sunday morning only to find out that this is just not the right fit for me? These are all valid questions to ask when looking for a church. Here is a brief run-down of what to expect at any of our services.

As you arrive at our building, you’ll find plenty of signs pointing you towards the kids areas. If you are dropping your children off before a gathering, give yourself extra time to get them checked in properly. Check-in opens 15 minutes before each service and closes 20 minutes after the gathering starts. We take your kids safety very seriously by doing full background checks on every single person serving with the children. Classes are fun and high energy. Biblical truth is the core of everything we teach.

Now that your kids are safe and sound in University Church Kids, head on into the sanctuary. You will notice a pretty easy-going environment where people are dressed casually. If you arrive early, you’ll have no problem getting a seat of your choice. If you arrive a little late and the room looks full, don’t worry . . . we’ll help direct you to an open spot.

If you’ve been to a few different churches, you know that musical styles can vary quite a bit. Ours tends to be a modern rock style on the louder side. The bottom line for us is that our worship is designed to point you to Jesus. It’s not about the stage or the lights or the talent of the musicians and vocalists. It’s about Jesus. Check out some of our live recorded worship.

Our teaching is focused on taking the deep truths of The Bible and explaining them in an inspiring manner that makes sense today. We have a very narrative style of preaching, in other words, we are story tellers telling God’s story.  We also tend to bring our own stories into the preaching as God works in us.  We spend most of the year preaching through books of the Bible, with occasional breaks for topical series. Expect our sermons to last roughly 45 minutes.

Want to join us in our mission of reaching people with the life-giving message of Jesus? Your generosity enables us to help more and more people experience a life-changing relationship with Him. We are truly grateful for your donation and hope the convenience and simplicity of online giving will be helpful to you.

Financial giving can be divided into two categories: tithes and offerings. The Bible teaches us that we worship the Lord with our tithe, which is ten percent of our income contributed to the church on a regular basis. When we feel called to give over and above our tithe, we do so as an offering.
